What is Power Flushing?
Power flushing is a process whereby heating systems are forcibly
cleansed using water at high velocity, but low pressure,
so that no physical damage is caused to the system. The process
can be made even more effective with the addition of powerful
cleansing and mobilising agents.

Why have a Power Flush?
The objective is to restore systems with circulation and boiler noise
problems (caused by sludge and corrosion deposits) to optimum operation.
Power flushing removes these deposits and the problems that they
cause.
How does a Power Flush work?
The power flushing pump is simply connected into the heating
system, either across the standard circulator pump couplings, across
the tails of one radiator, or wherever most practicable.
Power flushing is a highly effective cleansing operation which works
by pumping water at a much higher velocity than usual through the heating
system, to loosen and mobilise harmfull corrosion deposits, and to suspend
them in rapidly moving water.
The process is made more effective by the addition of specialist
cleaning chemicals to the system up to a fortnight
before power flushing.
Once loosened, the unwanted debris are passed through a magnetic
filtration system, which picks up iron oxide (rust) and removes it
from the system. Other unwanted debris are purged from the system
with clean water.
At the end of the flushing process, the system contains fresh
clean water and corrosion inhibitors are added.Reinstatement of the
system to normal operation takes only a few minutes.
During the power flushing process, radiators are individually flushed,
without removing or diconnecting them from the system, by directing
the full output of the pump through each radiator separately.
Power flushing is not a high pressure operation, and is suitable
for most domestic wet central heating systems. It is carried out with
minimal disturbance and disruption to the normal operation of the
system.
As a quality company, Apex Plumbing & Heating guarantee that a Power Flush will be carried out properly and thoroughly.
What does this mean?
A Power Flush Machine will not cleanse a heating
system on it's own! The machine is an expensive
and specialised piece of equipment, but it does need
to be used properly which involves human intervention. You
cannot simply connect up the machine and come back several hours
later expecting the system to be cleansed! If it is done this
way, you will probably see a temporary improvement as the debris
is moved around this is done the the machine for a few hours
and charge for a Power Flush.a Power Flush will thoroughly cleanse
a heating system and restore its efficiency. The Power Flushing
process cannot be done by simply connecting a Power Flush machine
and and system. If not carried out properly, The purpose of a
Power Flush is to cleanse the the heating system by mobilising the
harmful corrosion deposits and flushing them out. By simply connecting
